Georgia joins us as an associate with a primary focus on later-stage investing with Balderton's Liquidity I fund.
Prior to Balderton, Georgia spent three years at Centerview Partners in New York and London, where she worked across various industries on long-term strategic advisory projects and M&A transactions. Georgia worked particularly close to the consumer, retail and biotech spaces.
Georgia holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University in Canada, where she focused her studies in Finance.

Francesco joins as our new Research Lead, working on all research and data projects on the investment team.
Before joining us, Francesco helped a number of AI startups ramp up operations and worked with small financial boutiques on venture strategies.
Francesco was an Anthemis fellow in London and a fellow at UCLA's IPAM (Institute of Pure and Applied Math) in Applied Math and High Performance Computing. Francesco has a Bsc in Management; an Msc in Economics; a second Msc in Finance; and a PhD in Economics.
Francesco's post-doctoral research was on AI and risk management and he published several academic peer-reviewed articles and books.

Francesco has lived, studied, and worked in more than ten countries worldwide, and speaks fluent English, Italian and Spanish.
Francesco Corea, Research Lead
Luzana joins us from Entrepreneur First, the world’s leading Talent Investor. While at EF she managed talent operations, recruiting top technical talent and helping them to start some of Europe’s best early-stage startups.
Before moving to London and entering the tech industry, Luzana spent 6 years working on multi-million-dollar energy projects across the globe at A.P. Møller – Mærsk, one of the world’s largest conglomerates.
Luzana holds an MSc. in Groundwater Hydrology from the University of Pennsylvania.
Hailing from her native Angola, she has lived in five countries and is fluent in both Portuguese and English. Luzana spends a good part of her time advising and fundraising for charity projects and social enterprises in Angola, as well as monitoring the startup ecosystem in sub saharan Africa.

Toby joins us to provides support with all aspects of Balderton’s IR function.
Prior to Balderton, he worked in the investment industry in New Zealand for four years, focusing on maintaining profitable relationships with a variety of investors.
He began his career at Milford Asset Management, before following his passion for startups and technology to a FinTech firm where he helped early-stage businesses raise capital from investor groups.
Toby is a CFA Charter holder, and has a Bachelor of Arts (Economics, History) & Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from the University of Otago.
