Tim joined Balderton as a General Partner in 2007 before moving into his current role as Senior Advisor in 2021.

He was previously a partner of Goldman Sachs, where he spent 18 years. At Goldman, Tim held various roles, including Global Head of Equity Capital Markets and Vice Chairman of Goldman Sachs International. At Balderton, Tim has spent time as a chair of Betfair, Kobalt and Nutmeg, amongst other private companies and has been on the board of many others.

Tim is also a Trustee of The Royal Opera House, Royal Springboard and the Paul Hamlyn Foundation. In addition, Tim is Vice-Chair of the Sutton Trust, and a Life President of Rainbow Trust. Tim is a graduate of the University of Cambridge.
