Jacob joined Balderton's investment team in 2023. He is based in Berlin and covers the DACH region.

Prior to joining Balderton, Jacob worked at the German climate-tech startup, thermondo, where he assisted the Chief Strategy Officer and launched the company's residential solar business division. Jacob started his career working in business development and research at the Munich-based fintech, Ivy. 

Jacob studied Economics, Management, and Computer Science at Bocconi University. During his studies, he focused on Machine Learning and Game Theory. Jacob speaks German and English.
