Andrea joined Balderton's investment team in 2021 where he primarily focuses on growth-stage investments.

Prior to Balderton, Andrea spent five years with SoftBank where he was an early member of the Vision Fund. During his time at SoftBank, Andrea focused on late-stage Consumer Internet and Fintech investments globally, including DiDi Chuxing (NYSE:DIDI), Uber (NYSE:UBER), Grab, Ola, AUTO1 (XETR:AG1), Lemonade (NYSE:LMND), SoFi (NASDAQ:SOFI) and Kabbage (acquired by AMEX). Andrea also led the Vision Fund's investment in Contentsquare, the global leader in digital UX analytics, and DICE, the music discovery & events platform.

Andrea began his career on the trading desk of HSBC in Hong Kong and later joined Citigroup's Internet & Digital Media IB team in London. He also co-founded the University Esports Masters, the largest collegiate esports organization in Europe, in partnership with Twitch in 2014.

Andrea holds a B.Sc. in International Finance from Bocconi University.
