Bernard Liautaud appointed Managing Partner of Balderton Capital

We are delighted to announce the Bernard Liautaud has become the first Managing Partner of Balderton Capital.

 

Bernard joined the Balderton in June 2008, and has since played a pivotal role in the firm's growth.

As Managing Partner, Bernard will take a lead on the operational and management aspects of the firm, while continuing to invest across the European early-stage technology sector.

Prior to becoming a General Partner at Balderton Capital, Bernard founded Business Objects in 1990. He remained CEO for fifteen years, and was then Chairman until SAP’s $6.8bn acquisition of the company in 2008. In 1994, Liautaud became the first European entrepreneur to take a software company public on the NASDAQ.
