FAQS

When does the programme start?

We are currently accepting applications for a 6 September, 2022 start date. Applications will close 15 August, 2022, and we will notify applicants shortly after. We are assessing applications on a rolling basis, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible. We are limited on space, so if you are not accepted this time around or miss this deadline, you can reapply when the programme reopens. 

Who can apply for a desk space?

The space is for entrepreneurs looking to launch their next tech business. It is intended to support those right at the start of their journey, or in the process of raising their first round fundraising. You do not need any prior connection to Balderton to apply, and we are actively looking to welcome a diverse group of entrepreneurs for our first [email protected] cohort back in the office.

How long is the average stay?

Companies stay with us for between three to six months. We offer three months once companies are accepted into [email protected] You can then apply for an extension of a further three months. 

What kind of events will I have access to? 

You will have full access to our programme of events at Balderton HQ, including expert workshops such as 'How to build a Marketing Machine', community lunches and networking evenings.

In addition, we try to include our [email protected] teams in our larger portfolio events.

Are there any hidden costs?

There are no hidden costs, the space is totally free. We know starting a new business is really tough - and we're hoping we can make it just a little bit easier for founders.

How many desks can I apply for? 

Companies are assessed on an individual basis, however, on average, companies have 1-4 reserved desks which can be used within the company.

Is there anything else I should know? 

We have limited desk space available, so we just ask that applicants are keen to be in the office regularly and an active part of the Launched community.
