Join us in person for the second edition of the Balderton CTO Summit.

This is a unique opportunity to connect with your peers and share your challenges and victories with CTOs from within the Balderton portfolio and beyond.

The agenda has been shaped by the recent portfolio CTO survey. Expect an afternoon of inspiring talks, round tables and networking. World-class CTOs like Harsh Sinha at Wise, Renaud Deraison at Tenable, Vicky Wills at Zego and Paolo Negri at Contentful will be leading the discussions.

For those that can stay on afterwards, we'd also like to invite you to join us for dinner nearby following the Summit.

Harsh Sinha headshot

Harsh Sinha
Chief Technology Officer at Wise

Prior to Wise, Harsh was the director of product at PayPal. He led product strategy and development of PayPal's mobile apps and software. Previously, Harsh led various technology functions at eBay.

Harsh is also an angel investor, an advisor to early stage start-ups and venture capital firms.

Vicky Wills
Chief Technology Officer at Zego

Vicky is a software engineer, turned technology leader. She joined insurtech Zego in 2019, bringing with her a wealth of knowledge and experience of both hands-on engineering and engineering management gained at tech startups including Depop and Opendesk.

Her speciality is building and scaling technology teams in both early-stage and high-growth companies, with a particular focus in team structuring and processes.

Renaud Deraison
Previously co-founder and CTO of Tenable

Renaud is co-founder of Tenable and was its CTO. Renaud is the original author of Nessus, the most widely deployed vulnerability scanner and one of the most ubiquitous security tools on the planet. Nessus has received numerous awards, including recognition by SC Media as one of the Most Critical Products of the Last 30 Years. Nessus also won SANS Institute’s Best of 2015 Award for vulnerability assessment and Network World Asia’s 2015 award for best vulnerability assessment and management product.

Renaud continues to contribute to the global security community, including participating as a guest speaker in cybersecurity sessions during the World Economic Forum in Davos in 2019 and 2020, authoring several patents related to network scanning and security, and publishing his work in a variety of respected books and magazines. In 2019, SC Media recognised Renaud as a Visionary of the Last 30 Years.

Paolo Negri
CTO of Contenful

Paolo became interested in Linux and open source while studying engineering at university. In 2001 he started work as a system administrator and moved then into web application development when the web 2.0 movement took off becoming an expert and leading teams responsible for high availability backend systems.

After leading teams building applications for different industries like hospitality, advertising, classifieds and social games, Paolo together with Sascha Konietzke, founded Contentful in 2012 where he is currently CTO.

Joanne Hannaford is the Chief Technology and Operations Officer for Credit Suisse AG. She is a member of the Executive Boards of Credit Suisse Group AG and Credit Suisse AG.
In her role as CTOO, Joanne is responsible for leading engineering and operations, delivering digital transformation, orchestrating our investments in enterprise core capabilities, ensuring the security, scalability and performance our overall technology infrastructure and for driving a culture of world-class engineering and talent.

Joanne joined Credit Suisse in 2022 from Goldman Sachs where she was employed for 24 years in executive roles including Partner and Global Co-Head of Platform Engineering, EMEA Head of Engineering, Global Head of Regulatory Engineering and Global Head of Corporate and Operations Technology. Prior to this, she was an Executive Director at NatWest Bank.
Joanne is a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion both in the workplace and in the broader science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields.

She is a member of the UK Government Digital Service Advisory Board, the Royal Society Science, the Industry and Translation Committee, Founders4Schools Charity and the Board of Trustees of the British Computer Society. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Staffordshire University and is also a Major in the British Army Staff Corp.
