Charles-Edouard Bouée is the Managing Partner of Alpha Intelligence Capital (AIC), a global venture capital fund of USD 185 million investing in deep Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) technology-based companies. 

From 2013 to 2019, he served as global CEO of Roland Berger, the only leading global consulting firm of European origin, which he led from crisis through transformation to a record year in the firm's history of over 50 years. Today, he acts as a Senior Advisor for the company.

During his more than 20-year tenure in the consulting industry, Charles-Edouard became a seasoned expert in large-scale strategy and reorganization projects, as well as performance improvement. He specializes in disruptive innovation, new technologies and digital transformation, and has developed particular expertise in Artificial Intelligence.

Charles-Edouard has lived and worked in five countries – France, UK, US, Germany and China – and today operates out of China (Shanghai and Hong Kong) with strong ties to his hometown, Paris. A Harvard Business School (HBS) MBA alumni (class of 1995), he is on the Advisory Board of the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) and is involved in various other business and community organizations around the globe, such as the World Economic Forum’s Global Artificial Intelligence Council.

He has authored a number of groundbreaking books on modern management and China, such as China’s Management Revolution: Spirit, Land, Energy (Palgrave Macmillan UK, 2011), Light Footprint Management: Leadership in Times of Change (Bloomsbury, 2013) and Re-entrepreneuring: How Organizations Can Reignite Their Entrepreneurial Spirit (also Bloomsbury, 2018). His latest work on Artificial Intelligence, The Fall of the Human Empire (Bloomsbury, 2019) was first published by Grasset in 2017 (original title: La Chute de l’empire humain), three years after Confucius et less automates (also Grasset, 2014). In October 2020, Grasset published his latest book “L’ère des nouveaux Titans : Le capitalisme en apesanteur”. His books have been translated into various languages, including Chinese and Japanese.
