Andrew was appointed Executive in Residence in 2022. He works with Balderton's portfolio companies, supporting the legal community and providing guidance on issues that can arise between start-up and exit. 

Andrew has been a practising lawyer for over 35 years, during which time he has combined legal practice and law firm management roles. His experience spans all transaction types across multiple sectors and geographies.

Most recently, Andrew spent 4 years as Head of Legal at Balderton. Prior to this, he helped build the successful venture capital practice at Marriott Harrison. He spent much of his earlier career at Nabarro (now CMS), where he sat on the management board for a number of years. Andrew has consistently been rated as a top-tier venture capital lawyer by the leading UK legal directories, and in 2019 was the only venture capital lawyer to be shortlisted as London lawyer of the year for corporate and commercial work by The Legal 500.
