Nick Markham. TopUp TV

Top Up TV launched in March 2004 as the pay TV operator on the UK Digital Terrestrial (later Freeview) Television platform. TopUp increases choice for Freeview customers by giving them additional entertainment, movie and sports channels to choose from. Since August 2010, TopUp TV now offers Sky Sports channels on certain packages, with no minimum contract.

Nick is the Chief Executive of Top Up TV, which he helped to launch in 2004. Top Up TV offers a range of linear pay TV channels on DTT including Sky Sports 1,2 and ESPN as well as on demand movies and basic channels. It also provides conditional access and technical services to BT Vision and ESPN

Prior to Top Up TV Nick was Integration Director for ITV in the merger of Carlton and Granada where he also led the development and presentation of the Competition Commission case resulting in the merger clearance.

Previously Nick was CFO for Laura Ashley and a consultant at Bain & Co. Nick has also had a number of voluntary roles including Deputy Leader of Westminster Council. He is currently a founder and Chairman of Safe Haven, a charity which has raised £35m from commercial banks to fund permanent housing for over 200 homeless families in London.
