Erin Craig. Terrapass
TerraPass is a San Francisco- based retailer of carbon offsets and energy efficiency products for home and small office use. The company sells to consumers and small business customers both directly through the TerraPass.com website (www.terrapass.com) and through channel partners such as Expedia.com, Enterprise Rent A Car, Ford Motor Company, and Sam’s Club. Founded in 2004 by Tom Arnold, TerraPass also assists in the creation of carbon credits, working directly with candidate projects in US agricultural and landfill methane reduction and renewable energy development.
Erin Craig
Erin Craig is TerraPass' Chief Executive Officer. She brings over 20 years' experience in the environmental and public policy fields as a regulator, consultant, and corporate leader. Ms. Craig has spent much of her career in the high technology industry; during her tenure at Sun Microsystems she collaborated with hardware, software and packaging teams to develop design standards for energy efficiency, hazardous constituents reduction, labeling, and end-of-life management. She also represented Sun in a variety of policy debates, and chaired the Electronic Industries Association's Environmental Committee, a leading trade association in the advocacy of public policy positions concerning energy use and hazardous materials in computer hardware.
In the early 1990s, Erin worked for Apple Computer and was responsible for the company's efforts to rid supplies of ozone-depleting substances.
Erin joined TerraPass from Salesforce.com, where she lead the Delivery Excellence team within the Services organization. Erin earned an MS in Technology and Policy from MIT, a BS in Geophysics from Stanford University, and a Six Sigma Master Black Belt while at Sun Microsystems.
