Kieron Guilfoyle. 3V

3V is an international payments technology company which builds, maintains and supports tailored money management solutions for corporate clients.

The company helps Mobile Network Operators, online merchants and other businesses expand into the financial services space, broadening their offering to customers by providing stored value solutions for hosting customer funds and accepting payment.

Recently, 3V partnered with telecoms giant Telefonica in 2010 to launch the award-winning O2 Money programme in Ireland. The programme’s success secured Telefonica as one of the country’s leading financial services providers and set the standard for mobile financial services in Europe.

3V’s payment solutions are built from the patented Virtavo technology platform, which brings together issuing, loading, spending and acquiring services. Stored-value accounts can be issued in multiple currencies and accessed/loaded from anywhere in the world through in-store ePOS systems, online, using Peer 2 Peer applications or via international money transfers. Spending can specified as open-or closed-loop granting clients complete control over how their prepay products are used, whereas customers have the option to spend their funds from a virtual eWallet, or using a physical chip-and pin card.
