Dan Cohen Named CEO of Community-Driven Personalised Homepage Pageflakes
Pageflakes Ltd. (www.pageflakes.com ), the community-driven personalised homepage, today announced the appointment of Dan Cohen as CEO and U.S. founding partner, effective immediately. Cohen joins Pageflakes from Yahoo!, where he was the head of the My Yahoo! business unit. In his new role as CEO of Pageflakes, Cohen will oversee all aspects of the company's rapidly growing worldwide business including the establishment of a U.S. headquarters to complement existing operations in Europe and Asia. Former CEO and Pageflakes co-founder Christoph Janz will assume the role of Chief Product Officer (CPO).

At Yahoo!, Cohen was responsible for managing all aspects of the My Yahoo! business, leading teams responsible for product management, marketing, strategy, engineering, business development and monetization. Prior to Yahoo!, Cohen founded two companies, Personity and USConnect, and led their acquisitions by Openwave and IKON, respectively. Cohen also held key senior management positions at IKON and Google, where he led product management for personalised products, including the Google Personalised Homepage. Cohen holds a dual Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering and computer engineering from Carnegie Mellon, and a Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
