AdJug expands into Indian market
Online ad marketplace AdJug has expanded into India in a bid to capitalise on the country's growing online ad market.AdJug is set to open an office facility in Bangalore and will create a launch team of up to 15 people to build an India-focused model to deploy local currency systems for local brands. The marketplace, which enables advertisers and publishers to buy and sell ads directly, will spend an initial $2m (£1m) implementing a local auction model for the Indian market, with further investment planned.
The Indian office follows AdJug's European expansion, which has opened offices in London and Germany since launching late last year.
Satish Jayakumar, AdJug co-founder and director, said, 'India is a key strategic market for AdJug. We aim to attract the country's best talent to help us develop a specific ad auction model for the rapidly growing Indian market. This will not only offer local inventory and ad space, but link to our European networks to drive wider revenue opportunities.'
